Recently, the exterior design patent images of Xpeng’s large five-seater MONA L05 have been exposed. With a length of 4870mm, width of 1930mm, height of 1636mm, and a wheelbase of 2940mm, these dimensions clearly indicate a standard large five-seat SUV.
The exterior design continues the brand’s family styling, featuring a closed-off front fascia and T-shaped headlights, giving it a highly recognizable look. Additionally, frameless doors, a floating D-pillar, and semi-hidden door handles make the overall design more mature.
In terms of powertrain, the Xpeng MONA L05 offers both a pure electric version and an extended-range electric version (EREV). The pure electric model is equipped with a single 183 kW motor and a lithium iron phosphate battery, with a CLTC range of approximately 600 km.
The extended-range version comes with a 1.5L range extender and a 37.2 kWh battery, delivering a WLTC range of 253 km, and a combined range of 1,000 km with a full tank of fuel and fully charged battery.
As for the market launch, according to publicly available information, the Xpeng MONA L05 is expected to be released between July and September, with an estimated price range of 150,000 to 200,000 RMB.
It is worth noting that upon launch, the Xpeng MONA L05 will compete with models such as the BYD Song L, Nio Onvo L60, AITO M5, and IM LS6.
However, given the MONA L05’s class-above spaciousness, mature exterior design, and the pure vision-based VLA 2.0 intelligent driving solution — with computing power reaching up to 1500 TOPS — its competitiveness remains quite strong.
